A wave of orange and blue flooded the streets outside Wells Fargo Center on Thursday after the New York Knicks eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Knicks outlasted the 76ers 118-115 to win Game 6 of their first-round series at the latter’s home arena in Philadelphia.

The festivities began for Knicks fans once the final buzzer sounded. “Let’s go Knicks” chants could be heard all over the concourse at Wells Fargo Center.

Knicks fans also gathered around Madison Square Garden during Game 6. The supporters at MSG may have been a hundred miles away from the action, but that didn’t stop them from having a good time and celebrating their team’s triumph.

Knicks star Jalen Brunson solidified his status as the unofficial king of New York with his performance in Game 6. The Villanova alum finished with 41 points and 12 assists, including a clutch and-1 in the final minute of regulation.

Embiid had a monster game himself with 39 points and 13 rebounds for the Sixers. But it just wasn’t enough to force a Game 7 against a resilient Knicks squad.

Embiid and the 76ers at least took their elimination better than one Milwaukee Bucks veteran who beefed with a fan after his team’s Game 6 loss.
